Summa Summa Time!

It's not officially summer, but I've consistently been wearing sandals and chino shorts for a couple weeks now...sooo it's close enough! For those of you in the home stretch of finishing out the school year (like my mother) just keep on keepin' on! This summer I am working in the Provost's office in one of the prettiest buildings on campus. I mainly just do office work and help with whatever is needed but the people I work with make it enjoyable. It is so nice to be able to walk to work and not have to worry about using gas + it's a nice little work out. I am also going to be working at the Hyde Park Country Club. Hyde Park is one of the many little gems in Cincinnati and I am blessed to be able to spend my days outside on a beautiful golf course. I'm taking an intense, three week art history class right now, so when that is finished I will start in June.

I also had a cool opportunity to model a dress that was made by a DAAP fashion design student in the Red Dress Fashion Show last week. It's a great event that raises a lot of money and awareness for heart disease. I had the best time and met some really sweet girls. I was intimidated at first because after all they are models and not to mention the 10" height differences! The dress I am wearing is made from IKEA fabric. It was one of the cutest dresses I have ever seen. So much talent this girl has! She is interning this summer in NYC for Zac Posen. I was only a little jealous :) Anyway, this is the most chill part of my whole year so I am enjoying it as much as I can right now.

I've made a list here of my favorite spring and summer items. I took some of my birthday money from last month and bought an iced tea maker...and if you all do not have one I highly recommend buying one! So convenient to have a glass on hand whenever I want some!

This water bottle is from J.Crew and I love it. It is glass, but the turquoise cover prevents it from breaking. I know this because I dropped it walking back from practice yesterday :) The other two items are from Lilly Pulitzer. This new pattern is called "Lobstah Roll" and I just think it is the most perfect summer print.

This is where I work on campus...Just look at those tulips. The inside is even prettier.

1. Is that not the best cup to drink iced tea out of? 2. I also spent (a lot) of my birthday money at Home Goods buying necessary items like this cup. 3. I am now a proud owner of my first pair of Jack Rogers. (Thanks Grandma!)

This is the IKEA dress. How cute??

It is a rainy Wednesday night so I expect everyone to be on the couch watching episode after episode of Duck Dynasty!
